Evalve to Independence
The short version: everything stays on the iPad. No accounts, no network, no third-party code. I never see any of it.
Evalve to Independence stores everything on the iPad it runs on. It does not collect, transmit, or sell any data. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The app has no code that talks to the internet and no third-party software inside it. It is built only with Apple's own frameworks.
The app stores what an instructor and learner create while using it: learner profiles (a first name, a chosen avatar symbol, and a support level), the store name and product list, completed practice sales, and the session records (which steps were completed, the prompt level logged for each, timing, and percent independent). It also stores the instructor's settings for speech, sound, haptics, sales tax, and the instructor passcode. All of it is saved in the app's private storage on the iPad and protected by iPadOS data protection.
The app requests no device permissions. It does not use the camera, microphone, photo library, location, or contacts. Spoken coaching uses the text-to-speech built into iPadOS, so nothing is sent to a speech service.
Nothing leaves the iPad unless an instructor chooses to share a session CSV or summary sentence from the session summary screen or from Instructor Settings. That uses the standard iPadOS share sheet, and the instructor picks where it goes. Once a file is sent to another app, service, or person, that recipient's policies apply.
If iCloud Backup is on, Apple may back up the app's data as part of the device backup. That is controlled by your Apple ID settings, not by this app.
Evalve to Independence is a practice tool used by educators and families. Learner profiles are first name only by design, and I recommend keeping it that way. An exported session file is a student progress record. If you use the app in a school, you are responsible for following your school or district's policies for student records, including FERPA and any state law that applies.
The app is meant to be used by an adult instructor working alongside a learner, who may be a minor. Because the app never sends anything anywhere, no personal information about a learner is collected by me or by anyone else. The instructor passcode keeps settings and export out of the learner's flow. It is there to keep the learner on the register, not to act as a security boundary.
Deleting the app removes everything: profiles, sales, sessions, and settings. There is no copy anywhere else to delete, because I never receive it.
If the app ever adds a feature that changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described in the App Store release notes.
