Why I Started Evalve

Dr. Chris Sanzeri, founder of Evalve Consulting, based in the Chicago area

I'm Dr. Chris Sanzeri, an Ed.D. with years in education leadership. Most recently, I served as a district administrator at Illinois' second-largest school district, where I oversaw 1,400+ staff members and led AI implementation across teams. I also build the tools myself. Custom AI solutions, workflow automations, and local AI deployments. I don't just advise. I build.

I've watched talented educators drown in manual processes while the real work waits. I've seen organizations buy into AI hype from vendors who don't understand education. And I've seen what happens when AI is implemented by someone who gets the work and can actually build the solution.

That's why I started Evalve. I help education organizations implement AI that fits their reality and build the solutions that save their people time. Practical guidance and real technical capability from someone who's been in your seat.

Experience & Expertise

Ed.D. in Education Leadership Former district administrator at Illinois' second-largest school district Delivered 100+ professional learning sessions on instructional practice, behavioral strategies, technology, and AI Oversaw operations spanning 56 schools and 1,400+ staff Built and deployed custom AI tools used by hundreds of educators Developed an AI implementation framework for education organizations Runs local AI infrastructure and builds workflow automations

What this actually saves

I build these tools for my own work first. If they don't save real time, they don't ship. Here's what two of them save me.

1 hour 10 minutes

Daily email triage

The system I built cut my daily email block from a full hour to ten minutes. That's about 50 minutes back every day, roughly four hours a week, on one workflow.

15 min each 3 clicks

Outreach dashboard

Sending an outreach email used to take about 15 minutes, and I send 5 to 10 a day. Now each one is three clicks, so up to two hours of daily writing turns into a few minutes.

56 Schools overseen
1,400+ Staff supported
100+ Training sessions delivered
Hundreds Educators using tools I built

Recent builds

I build for my own work first, then bring the same approach to client engagements. Here's some of what that looks like.

From my own stack

One assistant became a team of agents

I rebuilt my personal AI assistant into a team of specialized agents, each running on the cheapest model that can do the job. Routing the simple work to lighter models cut my token spend by an estimated 40 to 60 percent, and quick checks that took 5 to 8 seconds now come back in under 2.

From my own stack

Private AI on my own hardware

I run open source AI models on my own hardware, with automatic fallback to cloud models when a job needs more power. Sensitive data never leaves my network. It's the same privacy-first thinking I bring to organizations that handle student data every day.

Client engagement · in progress

A tool for a parent's hardest moments

A parent of a child with a complex disability asked me to help build a tool for the moments no resource covers: what do I do right now. Before writing any code, I mapped six problem areas, ran research across roughly 60 sources, and set a measurable target for each one, the same way I write IEP goals.

Questions I get asked a lot

Straight answers about what I do, who I work with, and how to start.

What does Evalve Consulting do?
I help education organizations implement AI that actually works. That means figuring out what's worth doing, vetting tools, building custom AI solutions and workflow automations, and training your team. I'm not just an advisor. I build the tools myself, so you get working solutions, not slide decks.
Who do you work with?
School districts, Regional Offices of Education, education cooperatives, universities, edtech companies, curriculum publishers, nonprofits, and state education agencies. My background is in K-12 leadership, and special education is a real credibility wedge, but the work isn't limited to it.
Do you work with organizations outside the Chicago area?
Yes. I'm based in the Chicago area, in Elgin, Illinois, so in-person work across Chicagoland and the rest of Illinois is easy. I also work remotely with education organizations nationwide. Most of what I do travels just fine over video.
What does an engagement look like?
It usually starts with a free discovery call so I understand what you're dealing with. From there it can be a quick win engagement that solves one specific problem fast, a deeper implementation with hands-on tool building and staff training, or an ongoing partnership with advisory and build work over time. I scope it to your reality, not a fixed template.
How does your special education background fit in?
I spent years in district leadership, most recently overseeing specialized student services in one of Illinois' largest districts. Special education is some of the most process-heavy, documentation-heavy work in a school, so it's where I learned what AI can genuinely take off a team's plate. That credibility carries into the rest of my work, but I'm not limited to special education.
How do I get started?
Book a free 30-minute discovery call at my booking link, or email me at christophersanzeri@evalveconsulting.com. Tell me a bit about what you're working on and we'll figure out whether there's a fit.
