Behavior and Goal Tracker
The short version: everything stays on your device. I never see it.
Behavior and Goal Tracker stores everything on your device. It does not collect, transmit, or sell any data. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
The app stores the information you enter: student names or initials, behavior descriptions, IEP goal text, and the data you record (events, timers, observation sessions, goal attempts, intervention notes). All of it is saved in the app's private storage on your iPhone or iPad and protected by iOS data protection.
Nothing leaves the device unless you choose to export it. When you export a chart, CSV file, text summary, or a full backup, iOS shows the standard share sheet and you pick where the file goes. Once a file is sent to another app, service, or person, that recipient's policies apply.
If you use iCloud Backup or iCloud Drive, Apple may back up the app's data or your exported files as part of your device backup. That is controlled by your Apple ID settings, not by this app.
You can require Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode to open the app. Authentication is handled entirely by iOS. The app never sees your biometric data or passcode.
Behavior and Goal Tracker is a data collection tool for educators. You are responsible for following your school or district's policies for student records, including FERPA and any state law that applies. I recommend using initials or first names only, and turning on app lock.
The app is intended for use by adults (teachers, related service providers, and caregivers). It is not directed at children and does not collect information from children.
Deleting a student, behavior, goal, or record removes it from the device immediately. Deleting the app removes all of its data. There is no copy anywhere else to delete, because I never receive it.
If the app ever adds a feature that changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described in the App Store release notes.
